Praise the gods, for Game of Thrones is giving us Emilia Clarke nude scenes again! I was already satisfied when last night’s episode gave us a nude scene from Carice Van Houten’s Melisandre, but I most certainly did not expect one from Daenerys Targaryen. I could have sworn I’d read that the British actress had negotiated a no-nudity clause after season 1, and the total absence of nudity from her in season 2 seemed to confirm that. And yet, here we are, all the way in the eighth episode of season 3, and out of nowhere, like a boner-shaped thunderbolt from a dark sky of chaste clothing, Khaleesi’s breasts appear.

I swear, the moment I saw Emilia Clarke naked in last night’s episode, I was sure the producers were just teasing us. The very first shot of her nude just barely shows a nipple in the distance through a sheer curtain. Then we get a hint of areola sticking out of the tub, before the water lowers some and the entirety of both of her nipples are exposed. We get a few shots like this, and then, towards the end of the three minutes of wonder, she stands up in the bath tub, giving us a full frontal shot of her breasts (crotch out of view, sadly). After that shot lingers, she steps out onto a platform as the camera slowly pans up her legs and body, showing ass crack and some sideboob. Right at the end we get a full body shot of her from the back, with her ass very clearly in view, followed by a parting shot of her breasts as she quickly puts on a robe.

I still can’t believe it. I’m stunned. Jesus, getting another nude scene out of Emilia Clarke is a bigger twist then whatever’s going to happen in the next two episodes. If this doesn’t send the show’s ratings through the roof, I don’t know what will. Not that they’re short of viewers or anything. Each season breaks brand new records for viewership. Game of Thrones is probably building up to objectively be considered the best show ever made… like, ever. And truly, it has so many reasons to be so, not least amongst which is the copious nudity. Finishing off with Fast Times at Ridgemont High, here are the two Jennifer Jason Leigh nude scenes. The film contains two Jennifer Jason Leigh sex scenes. The first one has the young protagonist losing her virginity to some scumbag stereo salesman at a baseball field. It’s about as brief and romantic as the graffiti on the walls behind them. Her second nude scene has the actress undressing for a different but equally sleazy guy, before the two have sex on a couch in a changing room. Homeboy cums in a few seconds, and the rest of the scene focuses on JJL sitting on the couch, dissatisfied and completely naked, while the guy gets dressed and leaves without a word. I truly admire the producers’ dedication to realism.

It’s practically oozing Essence de 80s, from the music to the outfits to the retina-searing ultra-saturated colors. If neither that nor good comedy wins you over… well, there’s boobies. Consistently rated as the single greatest instance of cinematic nudity in the history of ever, I figure it’s about time I post the Phoebe Cates nude scene from Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Little bit of history: this movie is often referred to as containing the actress’ first nude scene, no doubt a belief held as the movie was filmed just after she’d turned 18. But Fast Times was actually not Phoebe Cates’ nude debut. She had filmed the Blue Lagoon knock-off, Paradise, a few months prior, and not only was that film her first nude role, but it also remains the only movie to exhibit full frontal nudity by the young actress.

As for the Phoebe Cates Fast Times scene, while admittedly much more brief than its predecessor, that hasn’t stopped it from shooting into the farthest heights of fame and engraving itself into the memories of all pubescent boys of the 80s and beyond. The scene begins with Judge Reinhold peeking out of his bathroom window as The Cars’ Moving In Stereo plays while his little sister’s friend climbs out of the backyard pool in a skimpy red bikini. The moment then blends into a fantasy in which Phoebe Cates confesses her attraction to the lanky protagonist and undoes her bikini top, revealing her amazing wet breasts, while walking towards the camera in slow motion. In fact, it was pretty much a launch pad for quite a long list of actors, and… well, all of them are back to being nobodies now, but it’s nonetheless hard to deny the cultural impact Fast Times has had. He entices her to take her top off and takes a few photos of her as she coyly plays with a fur. The second time we see Ashley Hinshaw naked, she’s moved up in the world and is filming her first nude feature for a San Francisco internet porn company. Dressed as a “naughty schoolgirl”, the director, played by Heather Graham (see how I brought it back around) gets her to strip off her clothing while a camera crew films her. Large parts of this scene are shown as the film’s cameraman films the camera of the film’s character’s cameraman. The result is an image that’s not quite the crystal clear video we wanted, but it’s certainly still fappable. She also plays with herself while completely nude and jerking off a purple dildo, but only a few nipple shots there, nothing on the crotch.

Towards the end of the film, the last time she appears nude, we get a long-ish Ashley Hinshaw sex scene as she’s filming a porno in a studio with another dude in bed and a production crew all around them. Little bits of this nude scene are actually interspersed between another scene where she’s having an awkward conversation with her yuppie, drug-addicted boyfriend, played by James Franco, but to trim the video length down to about two minutes from a full five, I’ve cut out all of those parts and edited the shots of the sex scene as one single shot. It’ll probably come of as a little choppy, but hey, would you rather beat off while James Franco’s face pops out at you sporadically? A lot of people remember the amazing Heather Graham nude scenes 2002′s Killing Me Softly, but it was a movie from five years prior, Boogie Nights, which holds both her first and her more graphic nude scene. It was also probably the first film to introduce her to a much wider audience in a much wider scope, so in a way, it’s responsible for pretty much all of the nudity we got from the actress thereafter. As for its own nude scene, it is tragically short, but we get a nice, unobscured full frontal shot, so there’s not a whole lot lacking. No ass shot, though. Sorry, ass men.

Truly, it’s got so many scenes with Madeline Zima nude, that I just realized I’ve spent more of this post talking about that than about The Collector. Ah well, might as well go the full mile and throw a picture in.

I’m taking one from the request lines today – Elisabeth Moss nude in Top of the Lake. This week’s consolation for another Game of Thrones episode with too much clothes is Silje Reinåmo nude in Thale. Last week’s, of course, was Swedish actress Alicia Vikander, so I figured I’d stick with the Scandinavian theme. The sorta-protagonist of Thale, a hulder played by beautiful Norwegian actress Silje Reinåmo, doesn’t wear any clothing for almost the entire film. The directing is not particularly exploitative, however. Quite the opposite, in fact. Most shots are not graphic at all. I guess the director didn’t want the film to be incorrectly perceived as a porno (and rightfully so), and set out to make the nudity far more implicit than explicit. Of course, that doesn’t stop pathetic bastards like myself from scrubbing through all of the nude scenes frame by frame to capture all those quick flashes. I regret nothing.

So we have Silje Reinåmo naked throughout most of the film, and in the parts where she’s not completely naked, she’s almost completely naked. Seriously, it’s glorious. We get our very first glimpse of Silje Reinåmo nude close to the beginning when she emerges from a bathtub full of some white liquid (insert predictable semen joke here) much to the shock of Elvis, who’s fallen on hard time after his singing career fell apart and is working as a crime scene clean-up technician. Hmm, I planned to plot out all the nude scenes here, but it looks like I’ve already used up my paragraph. Fuck it, the pictures are below, and it’s not like anyone even reads these anyway. I could say anything, and no one would notice. Monkey poop. Liver salad. Harry Reid’s shriveled scrotum.

Anyway, I don’t want to make it sound like ogling Silje Reinåmo’s gorgeous birthday suit is the only reason to watch Thale. First of all, it’s an original story, so that immediately puts it ahead of about 95% of Hollywood. Secondly, the filmmaker apparently put it together on an extremely tight budget, though you’d never tell. None of the effects are jarring at all, not even the full CGI monsters. Also, the acting is solid, and the sets, indoor and outdoor, are beautifully immersive. It shows that diligence is a far more important factor than money is in the making of a good film. Definitely a recommended watch.

No video clip this time since I’d basically be cutting a dozen few second clips spread throughout the whole movie, but if you really want it, you’re certainly welcome to support the filmmaker by buying Thale, which is, as of the other day, available for sale in America. Everyone who knows the name is aware that Jennifer Connelly is no stranger to nude scenes, so to make this post special, I’ll be taking it all the way back to 1990′s The Hot Spot, in which she did her first ever nude scene. One amongst many, in fact. This movie has almost enough nudity to classify it as a porno. The only problem is that with the exception of this scene here, it’s pretty scattered. Virginia Madsen is nude in it a lot, but the angles are never good and props are always in the way. I gotta be honest, it was kinda frustrating trying to fap to it while it’s rolling.

This scene saves it, though. We see Jennifer Connelly naked when she’s skinny dipping in a lake with Debra Cole. There is full frontal nudity from Debra Cole, but at this point, we only see ass and some sideboob from Jennifer Connelly… right up until she moves to lay down. As she’s bending over, she sticks her crotch out just enough that the light catches it, giving the camera an open look at her ladyparts. Now, I have my suspicions that she’s wearing some sort of modesty tape, but I haven’t been able to confirm that, so I’ll leave the images out for y’all to decide. After that part, we get a nice close-up shot of Debra Cole and Jennifer Connelly topless as they exchange some words and loving touches.

Even without Jennifer Connelly, The Hot Spot is a pretty solid film. It’s almost got a film-noir-y vibe to it, but instead of dark city streets, it’s set in hot rural Texas. Sadly, a blu-ray has not yet been released, so we’ll have to settle for the DVD for our source material. Not quite 1080p, but better than nothing, right?
